I finished a lovely batch of pale ale, got it bottled and can't find my capper. My store won't be open until Tuesday, which means it'll be two days before I can cap my bottles. All I could think to do was to put the caps over the tops of the bottles and hope for the best until my store opens and I can seal them. I understand that CO2 has a higher density than air which should push out the oxygen, but should I just scrap the lot and start over, or seal and hope for the best?
