Too dumb to follow instructions.

I've  home brewed a dozen batches of beer before, but never on Beer Smith. My son gave me ingredients for Pils 5D for birthday, but recipe is not in format I'm used to.

I'm used to seeing "Boil grain for 1 hour, toss in X hops at 10 minutes, toss Y hops at 5 minutes. Cool to 78 deg, add yeast. etc, etc"

I'm not seeing anything that user friendly in Beer Smith.

Help, please, Rob K.

Read How to Brew at:  http://howtobrew.com/  by John Palmer.  There's a new, more up-to-date and more complete version of the book in print and E-Book formats at: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_2_11?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=how+to+brew&sprefix=how+to+brew%2Caps%2C1127&crid=2B9XRQ52OTZ2N, but the on-line version will get you started quickly and cheaply (it's free).
