Mash in Mash out

:eek: :-\ G'day everyone, I just want to know what is meant on the Beersmith recipe print out when a mash in is meantioned I normally mash for 60 mins but it says mash in for 10 mins ? is it pre heating tun with hot water before mash ? :-\
 
Phil,
  If it is a multi step mash, sometimes the early steps (i.e. protein rest) are relatively short.  The later saccrification step should be longer however.
