I actually like Sam Adam's Oktoberfest, as well as Hacker-Pschorr's and Spatan's.  However, the one thing they all have in common is that they are a lager.  I just don't have the ability to lager anything right now (Florida heat and all).  Does anybody have any recommendations on how I can produce what might pass as a good Oktoberfest but with Ale yeast?

You could make a steam beer using Wyeast 2112 It will work up to 68deg. After you bottle, put it in the fridge and forget about it for 2 to 3 months. I have not made any steam beers, so I have no idea what this will be like. Oktoberfest beers are one of my favorites.

Cheers
