BeerSmith Recipe Version
« on: June 05, 2018, 03:42:06 PM »
I'm not sure how this is going to work in Version 3, But if it works the same as Version 2 then this suggestion is valid.
The version system should create a clone of the recipe as you increase the version.
This way you can travel between edits and check the versions

I just copy my base recipe to my brew log and change the version # there.

I agree with thepixel. Clicking the version drop down in the main design window and selecting the version number should change the view to that version. I was quite surprised when I tried to view a prior version of a recipe this way and nothing happened. Doing the copy to log seems counter intuitive and I don't always remember to do it not to mention the fact that now I have numerous copies of the recipe.
