Hello,
I am new here though I have been brewing for some time, twice. I started before my children were born in 1998 but had to give up when their activities had me busy on the weekends, about 5 years. I kept my kettle and a carboy in the basement and in 2017 my son came home from school and asked me if I could still brew beer. Turns out, yes I can.
Mostly, I had been brewing like the Grateful Dead did shows, always good, never the same thing twice. Now I am working with Beersmith to try to dial in some consistency and refine the batches I like the most. I am enjoying learning more about the "science" and how much control I can have through the process. I always enjoy drinking it.
Cheers.
