BIAB setup

Hi,

I brew using the BIAB (Brew in a bag) method.
basically you line your kettle with a polyester swiss voile bag, mash in the lined kettle using the full final volume (i.e no sparge)
when finished mashing remove the bag and commence boiling.

see here for more info http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11694

I'm wondering how to setup beersmith to cater for this method. particularly mash profile and equipment setup.

cheers

Hi,
I think all you need to do here is set your tun volume equal to your boiler volume, and perhaps adjust the mash profile a bit to match your style.  Are you using an infusion mash or do you try to maintain the mash temperature with your burner?

Try these mash profiles and equipment profile mate <attached>.
Adjust for volume and equipment sizes as required.

You're a star! Testing it out today, so will post the effectiveness.

Cheers.
