iOS to Android

I have BeerSmith on my Mac laptop and Apple phone.  I am switching my phone to an Android and was wondering if I can send recipes back and forth between the two like I can on both Apple devices; or will the iOS version not talk to the Android version?

You send your recipes to the cloud so that you can access them between your mac and iPhone. The cloud is the cloud and doesn't care what device you use so yes, you can access those recipes on an Android. I believe however that you will have to pay for a new version of Beersmith 3 mobile to use on that new phone.
