Taste testing for fun
« on: March 01, 2009, 01:09:48 AM »
Any of you get together with friends and do taste testing ?  Five to 8 very different brews (with some home brews in the mix) get the score sheets out (plus some snacks) and sniff - taste + rate the beers. Its blind tasting - very informal - funny to see how different people (guys - gals) like dislike various brews. Lots of fun and a buzz for everyone

my local homebrew club gets together one a month and tastes each others brews or other bought craft brews.  We don't necessarily score them but we do discuss what we like and don't like in the samples.

We do informal testing at our club + club only competitions.  Those BJCP sheets are great constructive critism

My HB club does tastings but it is not formal. We basically have a calendar stating which type of beer we will be tasting that month and everyone brings their version of it.
