Water/Grain Ratio

My Water/Grain Ratio seems to fluctuate, depending on the recipe. ??? Some calculates it to 2.6l/kg others 3.0l/kg

Are there certain factors which determine the ratio? For instance, grain specs, equipment, mash profile, etc.

 The water to grain ratio is determined by the mash profile.  Different mash profiles (especially multiple stage ones) have different water to grain ratios.

 You can adjust the ratio by changing the amount of water infused during each mash step.  Just edit the mash profile for a recipe and change the water amount.
