In Recipe View, the 2nd field is Type. You should select Extract. This way, grains you put in the recipe will appear with a red exclamation point if they require mashing. If no red !!, then grain is good for steeping. Typical steeping procedure is 30 minutes @ 155F to 160F, remove, add DME, take to a boil. You could record your steeping process in Taste or Notes.
