Boil volume less than batch size ?

G

goldshark

Greetings:

Been using BS for awhile and seem to have lost something.  I brew all-grain w/batch sparge.
Lately it seems that my recipes are all coming up with less brew water than the batch size,
followed with water to be added to top off the fermenter.  For instance: 5 gal batch & 4.62
boil size.  I expect something over 6 gal to the kettle.  What am I doing wrong ?

I usually do a single infusion, medium body, batch sparge.

Sounds like something got buggered in your Equipment Profile, and BSmith now thinks you are using a smaller pot and doing a condensed boil?

Verify all the settings in your chosen Equipment Profile, both in the Equipment folder and in each recipe, b/c there is a unique equipment profile in each recipe.

You were right, maltlicker. I found multiple errors in the equipment profiles for individual brews.
From now on I'll go over each one before I light the fire !

Thanks,    Al  Clermont, Fl
