I live in Australia and the grain suppliers use the colour profile EBC for grains.
To get Beersmith to display the correct colour for a new grain I have added to the grain file in Beersmith I must convert the EBC to SRM then insert the SRM value. I would rather tick a box to tell Beersmith to use either SRM or EBC and save the hassle of doing the conversion.

Freddo,
Try the following: When you enter the grains, just put in the number followed by "ebc" such as "500 ebc" and BeerSmith will do the conversion for you automatically.  Also if you prefer to work in EBC you can set that on the units tab of the options dialog (tools menu).

Cheers,
Brad
