How would I go about adding bananas as fermentables to Beersmith?  What information would I need to gather?  How would I go about gathering it?  Do I need a chemistry lab and a degree in biochemistry?  Or is there a down home method?  I want to include them in the boil and I'd like Beersmith to use them in its calculations (OG, FG color...)?

Add the "fruits" extension to the grains database.  I have nothing to indicate the color so I left the SRM at "0" (zero)
Bananas yield a potential of 1.005 (5 pppg or points per pound per gallon) based on the published average brix of a banana.
