beer smith question

when using beersmith software how do you set differant sparging methods ? ( batch sparge or fly sparge) It will tell me to sparge xxx amount of water but not wether batch or fly or what

Go to "Mash Profile" and choose one the profiles that matches your sparging technique. I'm guessing you will be using a single infusion which could be either batch or fly, although it doesn't actually say "fly".  You could always rename it, adjust it or simply come up with you own.
