I added to much whiskey to a black ale.  Added Vanilla beans and whiskey.  Vanilla is nice, Whiskey is way too strong.  How do I correct?  TIME?

dabeer,
I did the same thing a while back. Time helped but not enough. I brewed a sweet oatmeal stout and added some of the whiskey to it. That was great. I also half filled a glass with my strong beer and topped off with a brown ale. The mixture wasn't "Half bad". I will always try to brew on the edge but sometimes you slip off!

Time or like Bob said make black and tans....

I had an oaked old ale that was hard to drink at first but turned out great after a year of mellowing.

Cheers
Preston
