My brew club has a Hemp Ale in the fermenter. Doe's anyone have experience with this ?
 
Howdy,

I decided to try a "Hemp Ale" 6 pack ($8.00) since I was curious what it would taste like - shared it with family & friends.  We all concluded that we did not like it - too green with a high tannin mouth feel. If you were to take some hemp rope or maybe a hemp shirt - soak it in beer - and suck directly off of the rope - ah, Hemp beer.

The Pearl Street Brewery here in La Crosse toasted the seeds and added smoked barley. They put 4 months of age on it and it was really smooth, and, really filling. Tough to down two of those.
 
Ive had some. 
It's interesting, not unpleasant.
