I would like to email some recipes to people I have created with BeerSmith 2.0.
Is there a simple format I can export to that anyone can open to view the recipe ?

Beersmith 1.4 would let you export to a .txt file but I do NOT see anything like that in 2.0

Any help would be great

cheeno,

1. Highlight your recipe but don't open it.

2. On the pane underneath, to the right, you'll see a drop down list of reports. Select one of these 5 reports e.g. 'Classic Recipe', 'Plain Text'.

3. Click on 'Save Report' and that will save the report as a file in your /Documents/BeerSmith2 directory

4. Attach that file to your email or in some OS's such as Vista, you can right click and then 'Send to'.

When sharing recipes, it's a good idea to choose reports that show an 'End of Boil Volume', 'Brewhouse Efficiency' and 'Mash Efficiency' as these make it much easier for the recipient to interpret.

Both the 'Classic Report' and the 'Plain Text' report have this information.

Cheers,
Pat
