v1.4 key not working in v2

Should my product key from v1.4 work in v2.0?

When I enter my product key, it says it is invalid.
 
It will not work.  When you purchase BS2 you get a new key.
 
Ok... thanks for the note. I found the tips regarding upgrades from v1.4 to v2 rather vague surrounding this.

This is rather frustrating to a customer who just recently bought the old version.

Agreed on this.  Understandable that they want repayment on major releases, but at the very least, they should be more clear on the d/l page and where they post notes on upgrading from 1.4 that v1.4 registration will not work on v2.0.  It's seems such an obvious point to make, that omitting it looks bad.
