And now I'm not exactly sure what to do with it?  I don't think malting it is really in the cards but I know adding unmalted wheat can aid in mouthfeel and a few other things.  I was thinking about adding it to a big imperial russian stout.  Here's my question, I was thinking that all I needed to do is remove the stalk and send the top of the wheat, the part with all the grains, through my mill and that should hopefully do the trick.  I was thinking then I could just put the wheat in with the rest of the grain after that.

Having said that, there doesn't seem to be any real good way to move each grain from the wheat stalk itself, is this a big deal?  Does sending the entire top of the wheat grain with those little hair like things and whatever the grains are attached to pose any kind of a problem?

Thanks in advance?
