Hydrometer Question....

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to take an accurate hydrometer reading in carbonated beer??
 
No, you need to degas the beer first. The bubbles will cause the reading to be off. Spin the beer in a blender then let the foam settle out first. Then pour it into your testing vessel and take your reading.
