Hi,

I am kinda new to Beersmith, but still I am trying to get a german translation via Github together with help from a german homebrewer forum on Facebook.

I hope this is ok?!

Here it is: https://github.com/omphteliba/beersmith2_de

Hi,
great way to use github. i will participate. is there any workflow now, how to deal with the branches?

Since there was no activity for the past 4 years, I thought to start with the german translation. The first files are now attached to this post.

I will continue to work on the grain as next step.

ok, Water was pretty fast. Done with it.

Starting now with the lang.xml stuff.

Styles can be done later. They may consume more time and can be done in groups.

Update on the lang.xml file. Way more parts are now in German.

- Tools (Werkzeuge) is still open.
- Also plenty of tooltips need to be done (Tips, when you move with the mouse over a field)

I have no completed a substantial part of the lang.xml file.

Some submenus might be open but this might be found with usage.
Some tooltips are still in english and I need to work on them.

I cannot find the part of the Reports -> e.G. Majority of the Printout of the recipe is still in english. Not sure where I can find these strings. I will touch base with Brad.

The styles are also still open. I may start with the beer styles first.

Please test and report

ok, most of the program is now in German.

I have now added also the reports (html files) which need to be placed in the program subdirectory under reports (not the user directory)

A number of Tooltips and the styles are open.

The one or other button could be open but I need to work now with the program to identify the open parts.

You may also want to give some input on some of the translations which can be changed.... ans uploaded to this thread

Edit: Updated files including default recipe and some updates in lang.xml

You are welcome. I just started writing a new recipe and figured out some issues that I already solved on my local installation.

"Sauermalz" is not shown as option to adopt the pH. I used the installation of the Weyermann malts as workaround. The corresponding malt has the option to configure the acid portion. I need to adopt this to the corresponding bsmx file.

The same is true for "Milchs?ure" I copied "Phoshpors?ure" renamed it and changed to concentration.

Some minor things in the reports seem to be still in English depending on the options you choose in your recipe

The styles are all open. Only the headers have been translated so far.

Please report other inconsistencies.

Some updates in the lang.xml file

Update in Misc to address an issue with the Acid "Milchs?ure" during Mash
Update in grain.bsmx to address an issue with "Sauermalz". changed the name to "Sauermalz (Acidulated)". Otherwise it is not offered to adjust the pH.
