Understanding mash steps in Beersmith 2

Hi,

If I select single infusion batch sparge, I get 3 sparges at 1.5 gallons each. What is the advantage of doing 3 at 1.5G versus 2 at 2.25G? or one at 4.5G?

I just found one gives a small efficiency hit with my tun and I got a stuck sparge running that much through.
As far as three, I'd say it fits in with the criteria you have marked for how full to fill the tun.
