Multiple copies of files in BeerSmith Folder

I was trying to squeeze BeerSmith and it's files onto a small unused jump drive and I noticed that there are 6 copies of every file in the data folder (Age.bsmx, Age1.bsmx, ... Age5.bsmx) etc.  Are all these files necessary?  Are some old backups I can delete?
