It is clear the BS does a heat balance of the hot water first added to the mash to back calculate the temperature required of the water to get the desired mash temperature.
Since the water is often added before grain ( to make mixing easier / better ) it would be helpful to show the expect temperature of MASH TUN after the addition of the water but before the addition of the grain. This would make it much easier to "fine tune" the weight / heat capacity of the Mash Tun.
Since this calculation is likely already done this would hopefully not be too hard to implement.
