Have been using Hopville to create recipes. Want to copy those recipes to BS2. Have done it before awhile ago but can't do it now. May be because Hopville is in a new beta software and that .xml file extension isn't working yet. Any Hopville users here who know how to copy recipes?

Can have BS2 on two computers. Have a copy on the laptop but can't transfer recipes and profiles from the laptop to the desktop. Brad Smith tells me recipes can be copied using cloud. have not tried that yet but will today. He also said profiles need to be copied manually. Copied profiles to flash drive and tried to upload files from flash drive to desktop but it didn't work.

Can not customize columns. Right clicking on the column header brings up the customize column function but it is grayed out.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
If the program supports BeerXML fully (an open standard see BeerXML.com) you should be able to import it, but otherwise it is not possible.

The cloud does work well for moving recipes.  To move profiles, just export the ones you want to move (right click and 'export selected') to a BSMX file.  Move that file over and use the open command to open it on the new computer.  Then copy/paste them into the correct profiles view (for example Profiles->Equipment).

Customize columns works from the main views (My Recipes, Ingredients, Profiles) but not within an open recipe (it is greyed out).
