Mash Profile issue

Hi,

What I do: Select 'Single Infusion, Medium Body, Batch Sparge' 1 step
What I want: Strike water amount 'X', Batch sparge water amount 'Y'
What I get: Add water amount 'X' for strike water; (Batch Sparge with 2 steps (1.64 gal., 3.46 gal.)

Why do I get two seperate amounts for sparge water?  How can I get them combined?

I fly sparge so I don't have any first hand experience with batch spraging. I believe the reason for the fist number being smaller is because you need to add this to the mash tun before your first running s to make up for the grain absorption. And by doing this it allows your first and second runnings to be of equal volume.

You need to check the box: drain mash tun.
