Around my house, I think it drinks itself.  Good thing I enjoy homebrewing, my kegs are always running empty.

Welcome.  Good Luck!  Don't sweat it, except for sanitation.  Other than that just have at it and enjoy good brews!

Hogan530, where are you from in Northern CA?  I'm in Shingle Springs, near Placerville CA.  I'm new to this forum, but have been brewing about 20 months.  I had been hanging out on a different forum but it has some software issues lately.
