got beer smith a few months ago, played around with it a little and set up profile and looked stuff over. now i'm getting ready to brew and notice all the mash calculations for my recipes are giving me negative numbers. did i tweak something a few months ago when i was playing around with stuff to make it to this? anyone else have this problem?

Hi
In most cases this is an equipment problem.  BeerSmith gets the mash volume by working backwards from the boil volume needed (adding in water to account for mash tun deadspace and water absorbed by the grain).  If it is a negative number likely one of those is wrong (most likely the mash tun deadspace or boil vol needed).  You can see how it all adds up by looking at the "vols" tab for your recipe.
