Can beersmith on an iPad be updated with recipe's and other data by directly connecting to a PC running beersmith2?

Can you copy recipe from PC to iPad without going through the cloud

I currently have no direct connection option, though you can certainly synch recipes in the cloud folder across the devices (just set up a BeerSmithRecipes.com account and access it from both devices via the cloud option).
