Hello all,
I see that we are on the dawn of a new brewing season - so what are you planning for this season?

My first three in the fermentor will be a Wit, Dry Stout and American Pale Ale to stock up for the fall.

Cheers!
Brad

Just Mixed up a nice batch of Hazelnut brown Ale for October

Here in the land down under, we don't really have brewing seasons. I brew all year round using an old fridge with a 0c-30c thermostat to regulate the fermenting temps, just finished a porter and schwartzbeir. Next will be a Coopers Pale Ale followed by my St Peters Mild.

Cheers
Andrew

Well, I have two brews from last season that I want to make again, a Traquair House Ale clone - the original is my favorite beer and this clone was fenomenal as well but now sadly gone - and Denny Conn's Rye IPA - a stunning ale of which I have two bottles left and I intend to crack one of those open in a minute or two  ;D

After that an Amarillo Pale Ale I think.

Post your recipes!  I always need new ideas.

I finished the Wit this morning - its sitting in the fermenter now.  I will likely brew a porter next (change of plans) then the Irish stout.  I'm stocking up over the next few weeks and will be running batches as close as I can next week.

Cheers!
Brad

Thanks for the recipes!

I just finished my third batch in a little over a week.  I kegged my Wit last night, the Porter is in the secondary and my Dry Stout just went into the fermenter.  The Wit and Porter were in excellent shape.

I used a new method to control fermentation temperature - basically wrapped wet towels around the carboy and then put a fan on it.  My stick on thermometer was steady between 66 and 68F for the whole fermentation which was a great temperature for an ale.  We'll see how it all tastes in a few weeks.

Cheers!
