Howdy all - I'm a newcomer to the art/craft. Always considered brewing--chemistry combined with cooking … can't beat it. Last year my son tried his hand at a partial-extract porter and I was so impressed I had to jump in (Plus I can't let the kid get the upper hand). First brew was a PE smoked porter, just fair, followed by an AG Bell's Brown Ale analog, very nice. Currently have AG Denny's Wry Smile IPA and an AG Brit bitter under way. Tremendous fun and I'm in for keeps … evidenced by a growing inventory of cool equipment which i tell my wife is completely, utterly and totally necessary. Not sure how long I can keep this up.
