So I have a source for nearly new pin lock 5 gallon kegs- $40.00 each
There seems to be some debate about ball lock kegs being better "overall". I know there is a dimensional difference, and I understand pin locks prevent mixing beer and gas lines, as can happen with ball locks.
Someone suggested to me that ball lock kegs flooded the market (Coke used pin lock kegs and everyone else used ball locks) with the inception of "bag-in-a-box" soda fountains, so that is just what people have- so that is what they like.
Is the debate much ado about nothing? Are there any real negatives you can point out?
Thanks!
