I posted in the All Grain forum here trying to figure out the best way to build this type of Mash Profile in Beersmith 3. Here is a link to the post: http://www.beersmith.com/forum/index.php/topic,21319.0.html
Basically, it is a decoction mash profile that utilizes mashing 2/3rds of the mash in a boil kettle and heating it up through the steps for saccrification temps, then adding the remaining 1/3rd of the mash water (warm) and remaining 1/3rd of the grain to hit a saccrification temp.
Any ideas how I might be able to build this in the Mash Profile tab? I built it in an Excel spreadsheet, but I think it would be great if I didn't have to rely on it compared to the one-stop brew software I have
Thanks in advance,
Walt
