Focus on text input field

It would be nice if when a popup window opened that the cursor was focussed on the search input field by default.  For example, if I'm substituting an ingredient, when the popup opens I need to click inside the search input before I can begin typing to look for the new ingredient. 

v3.2.7 on Ubuntu Linux 18.04

  This does work better on some platforms but not sure it works as well on Linux.
