Fruit Additions and ABV

I am making a strawberry kettle sour. I will be adding the strawberries in the secondary as I do with all my fruit additions. My question is that when added as secondary addition there is no change to gravity (OG or FG) in the Session Section and therefore no change in ABV. Of course I expect the final gravity will be lower than what is stated in the recipe as the sugar from the fruit will ferment out. If I add the strawberry as a boil addition it does correctly adjust the OG/FG/ABV.  To see where I will finish up should I just add the fruit as a boil addition even though I will actually be adding it to the secondary?
