Hi all,
I am fairly new to home brewing. I have about 20 brews under my belt. I started out all grain and am having a blast with it all. I built an electric brew setup in my basement with sort of a pub feel to it. My brews have been coming out pretty good outside of a few where the fermentation temp got too high and created a nasty off flavor. Lesson learned! I have been using Brew Smith for several months and really like it. I am moving on to learning more about water and the effect it has on my brews. Still lots to learn in the quest for outstanding beers.

Cheers!

Tom

Welcome!  Sounds like you are off to a great start! Good call on the basement brewery.  Those Minnesota winters would make it difficult to do year round (speaking as a former Michigander). Since you mentioned fermentation issues,  have you any plans to control fermentation temperatures?  It is,  in my experience,  one of the most valuable upgrades you can make!
