At minimum, yearly I reformat my HDD and reload an image onto the winblows partition. To make the constant re-imaging work with..
BS 2.x, you need to copy the BS data folder only (usually in My Documents/BeerSmith2 PRIOR to restoring an image into a usable state on the drive onto somesort of usb media. Once the drive is back to a fresh state, copy the folder to My Dccuments, and you will find registration code as well as all recipes, settings, etc are functioning!
BS 1.x saves EVERYTHING into the installation folder, so you can copy the entire folder to usb media, then restore the image and copy it back to the same location.. default of Program Files/BeerSmith.
