New to Home Brewing

Hello, Beersmith community. My name is Brian and I am a software designer in San Luis Obispo, CA. I have been dabbling in homebrew for about 3 - 4 years but never have I been scientific or serious about it. I'm joining Beersmith to learn and become more professional about brewing. All my past experience has been from extract and I understand the basic concepts and phases of brewing. I'd like to learn more techniques and facts about brewing so I can successfully design my own recipes.
