Pre-heating a mash-tun

If I pre-heat my mash-tun with a gallon of boiling water, and make no adjustments for my equipment will BeerSmith give me the correct temp for the strike water?

  Yes, if you pre-heat you should not need the equipment adjustments box checked.

I doughed in earlier this morning with a pre-heated mash-t 8)un (cooler) and hit my infusion temp spot on.  8) I used 1 gallon of boiling water to heat a 50 qt cooler 8)
