I've been using beersmith for over a year now, and as an all-grain brewer , it does practically everything I need.  But as a computer user, I'm still very offended by the fact that I cannot assign my data files to a directory of my choice.  Kudos to the install application, because when I Reinstall, my data survives intact, but it's pretty lame that beersmith won't allow me to point to my user data in another location.  Sorry, I truly am a beersmith lover, but this issue needs to be resolved rather than promised.  Come on man.

Hi,
I agree!  We're working on a version now with that feature in it - you will be able to put the data elsewhere (My Documents directory for example).

Cheers!

While I'm comfortable using Import / Export --- BeerSmith needs a a dead simple Backup method. And as mentioned an easy way to direct where your recipes are filed.

I would also reccomend that when you backup you also back up your ingriedent files and your equipment settings.
