After several reports of numeric problems using BeerSmith in Denmark, one of our affiliates managed to track the problem down. Apparently many copies of Windows XP (particularly the pro version) are being shipped with the incorrect default number settings in Windows. BeerSmith uses these settings to input and output all numbers in the program and the version of XP is being shipped with US settings vice Danish settings (i.e. 1.2345,56 vice 1,234.56). This is not a BeerSmith problem, but a Windows configuration problem.
You can easily correct this problem by going to the Windows XP Control Panel, open the International and language settings and change the settings to "Dansk". You will notice on this dialog that the numeric defaults are incorrect until you fix them. After that, BeerSmith (and probably quite a few other applications) will run just fine.
Cheers!
