REBUILDING A MASH TUN
« on: January 15, 2021, 05:44:50 AM »
Thought I would throw this out there for anyone that has designs on rebuilding or replacing their Gotte 10 gallon cooler mash tun.
I have had a Rubbermaid one for 6 years and the walls finally split, so I went on line and found that Home Depot has a house Gotte that is made by the same company. Looked identical.
However, when I went to replace the spigot and braided filter, I found that the diameter of the spigot hole were markedly different.
Of course it is fixable, but I thought you all should be forewarned.  >:(
