Hello from the home of beer & brats
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:42:08 AM »
Hello to all from Wisconsin. Talked about making my own brew for a couple of years now.  This year for my BD my wife bought me a home kit.  So far, I have Oktoberfest and English brown in bottles and some Witbier in the bucket.  The Oktoberfest will be ready on Superbowl Sunday...WOO HOO!!!  Heck, I'm more excited about trying the beer than I am about the game.  Happy brewing everyone!

Welcome.
Always nice to have a fellow Wisconsinite. Brewing is in our blood. Usually about 5 percent.

Where in WI are you from?  As a expat Michigander (now a FIB) I always enjoy wisconsin. I used to cover mid southern WI for work.  One of my last trips took me through new glarus for lunch.
Good Recipe, Good Ingredients, Good Procedure, Good Sanitation = Good Brew.

Born and raised in Milwaukee. Grew up in West Allis. Worked in Waukesha. Transferred to Wausau. Covered the U.P of MI. Retired near Stevens Point WI. Brew and drink beer wherever I am. I brew BIAB method with no chill.
