total cost of recipe
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:56:59 PM »
Being a new brewer, I have only done extract kits.  Brewsmith somehow calculates the total cost, which is usually wrong by quite a bit.  Is it possible to manually change the total somehow?  If not, in a future addition, could you possible add this function?  It could be applicable if someone selected extract in the "type" field. Then possible check which items are to be included in the kit price, then enter kit price into a field.  The program could then add this price to any additional ingredients for the total cost.

Thank you

Hi,
Yes, you can double click on any ingredient to set its price field within the recipe.  If you want to more permanently change the price for future recipes you can go to the appropriate ingredient table (such as Hops on the View menu) and make a change to the price there.

Cheers,
Brad
