Another way to sort grains
« on: September 19, 2004, 04:01:12 PM »
Usually, I build a recipe using ingredients I have on hand. So, when looking at the grain/sugar pane, I usually sort by the "Inventory" field (or use the "In Stock" flag). What would be nice is a way to sort grains by their type... such as Base, Crystal/Caramel, Roasted, and so on. Maybe there is room for user-definable fields? Thoughts?

Colin,
Not a bad idea.  I could easily add the field, but the difficulty comes in populating it (of course!).

I probably won't add this for the release I'm finalizing now, but this would be useful for a future release so I will certainly add it to the list.  I can actually see several uses for such a field.

Cheers!

Sounds good! Can't see myself using any other software, so I'm content to wait :D

Thanks!
