UI suggestion for recipe view
« on: July 16, 2011, 11:54:37 AM »
I think it would be helpful to have the buttons (or sub-tabs?) in the recipe view pinned to the top of the page, between the name of the recipe and the Help/Ok/Cancel buttons. The ones that say Recipe Design, Yeast Starter, etc. I'm sure I will get used to it in time, but on my small laptop screen, I often find myself scrolling down and then wondering "where the heck did that Notes button go?" Pinning them to the top would make them always visible regardless of how far down I scroll, and free up a bit more vertical space to boot.

Here's a mockup of what I'm suggesting. Thanks for listening!

Thanks,
I'm leaning towards moving them to the title bar (exactly as you have shown here).  Its a fairly substantial code change, but I will likely get to it this fall.

Sounds good.  Anything to make more space in the recipe view would be nice.

Hi,
I implemented this for the build 42 beta here if you want to give it a spin!
