New to Brewing - Understanding brewing/BeerSmith recipes
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:57:24 AM »
Hi,

I'm very new to brewing. In BeerSmith's recipes there's a "Brew Steps" feature.

What is the best book/website/video/resource to help me understand what the terms, steps, processes, timings, etc. involved in brewing mean (I realize the "Brew Steps" are not unique to BeerSmith)?

Cheers!

"How to Brew" by John Palmer is a good start.  It's even availble on line for free, although I find having the hardcover is a bit handier to read for me.
