Only two months away!  Brew entries now for special categories:  Rauchbier, dunkelweizen, and Black IPA.

22nd Annual US Open - BJCP/AHA Certified Home Brew Competition - Carolina BrewMasters
Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Charlotte NC - $6 per entry (no limit) - Beer, mead, and ciders welcome.

Please reserve May 19th and visit Charlotte to help judge or steward the 22nd Annual US Open hosted by the Carolina BrewMasters at Olde Meck Brewery.

This year's US Open offers brewers TWO chances to get their beer brewed and served commercially.  One) our host Olde Meck Brewery will help select and brew the best entrant between all Rauchbier and Dunkelweizen entries.  OMB will also enter the winning beer at the 2012 GABF Pro-Am.  And two) Foothills Brewing will again brew the Gambrinus Cup Winner at the Renaissance Fair in the fall, and that style will be Black IPA.  The US Open is also the third competition of the Carolina Brewer of the Year circuit.

A light breakfast and full lunch will be served for volunteers, and we’ll have a raffle with great prizes, including special tickets and prizes for out-of-town volunteers.  Please share this email with your home brew clubs and brewing friends, and feel free to post in your favorite online forums.  Thanks.

Rob Adams – Organizer
Richard Lane – Judge Coordinator
