First all grain today

 Even though this is a kit from NW I put all the info in beer smith. Looking forward to designing my own and seeing how bad that comes out. I guess as long as it has alcohol it will be good.

Started out with a Mr Beer kit my daughter got me for Christmas (now I can blame this hobby on someone else). Worked my way up to an all grain today. Should be fun.

Sorry I didn't introduce myself properly. I'm Mark and live in Northern California.

The first all grain brew day went great.

I live in the country and use well water, so I had a sample tested for minerals and used EZ Water Calculator to adjust the mash and sparg water. It was right on at 5.2 ph.  Beer Smith also has a water calculator but I haven't figured out how to take into account the grain bill.
